Welcome to Making Waves Swim School

Our teachers use their vast swim instruction knowledge and creativity to design individualized and specialized programs for each student. Students of all ages will experience and learn socialization skills including: taking turns, following directions, working with an authority figure, and building self-esteem and confidence. Furthermore, they will develop fine and gross motor coordination, strength building, communication skills, proper water safety habits and swimming form. Students are not just encouraged to learn to swim, they are taught to respect the water and understand their limitations. Participants must be three years or older & all youngsters must be completely potty trained.

Monday – Friday
9am – 10pm
Saturday and Sunday
8am – 5pm.

Making Waves offers an open enrollment and rolling admission program. This means that You can join at the beginning, middle or end of any session (when spaces are available). You will also only pre-pay for the number of classes in that session. The number of classes in a session depends on the teacher, their specific schedule and the date in which you join. A full session typically has 12-14 lessons but you are free to sign up even if there is one class left in that session.

Please call our office for specific schedules and availability as well as exact costs before you make any decisions. Spots and time slots are filled on a first come, first served basis, so reserve today!

Private Lessons {1:1} (30 minute lesson):
A one on one lesson available to all levels and abilities. Whether frightened beginners or competitive swimmers, these lessons ensure the student’s needs are met.

Adult Lessons {1:1} (30 minute lesson):
It's never too late to learn to swim. These lessons are private only and your progress and comfort in the water are our top concerns. You will be encouraged to learn at your own pace.

Lifeguard Training Courses:
Making Waves Proudly offers The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course. Uniquely, the class schedule is designed to meet the needs of those interested. Let US know when you are available, and we will schedule the training around what is convenient for you. With only 3-4 participants you will learn at a privately owned location, which is the perfect setting to acquire your lifeguard certification. Attempting to learn these lifesaving skills at a public aquatic facility, with numerous activities and people everywhere can be quite distracting and unsettling. Contact us today to discuss the details of this program.

Prerequisites:
- The student must be at least 15 years of age by the end of the course (proof of age required).
- The student must be able to swim 500 yards continuously, using the free-style and breaststroke.
- The student must be able to swim 25 yards, submerge to a depth of 12 feet, and then retrieve a 10lb object and swim 25 yards with that object.
- The student must be able to tread water for two minutes using only their legs.
