I have loved the water since I was two and have been teaching others to swim since 2003. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching swimmers ages two through adult, from beginners up through competitive training. I’ve taught lessons in private, small group, and swim team settings. I have also frequently worked with children and teenagers with a variety of special needs, particularly students with Autistic spectrum disorders and ADHD. I focus my lessons on safety, especially at beginner levels, and proper stoke development based on the swimmer’s ability level. I always aim to tailor lessons to each child’s different strengths, personality, and interests. I have a B.A. in Developmental Psychology and am currently working towards my M.A. in School Psychology.
