I have been a lifeguard and swim instructor since 1998. Mainly, I’ve worked with large group lessons in the past, so Making Waves was a welcomed change. Having the opportunity to focus on one swimmer at a time makes the learning process happen so much faster. I have taught lessons for children varying in ages from 4 to 13. With Making Waves I like that I have the opportunity to teach adults. I love children and feel equipped to handle the most anxious swimmers.
Outside of my time spent teaching for Making Waves, I lifeguard at Mercer County Community College. I also attend the Richard Stockton College of NJ. I am a junior and am planning to graduate in the Spring of 2007 with my BA in Social Work. I am currently enjoying an internship with the Yates Family Service Center in Lumberton, New Jersey. I look forward to a career in helping children in the child welfare system.
In my personal life I love all things associated with the water…the beach, the pool, I even have a collection of mermaid figurines. I also love to read, listen to music, and spend time with my family.
