Jessica L.
I began my swimming career in high school as a competitive swimmer and I have been a swim instructor for 4 years at numerous different companies, before joining Making Waves Swim School in the spring of 2007. I have taught all ages from toddlers to adults. I really enjoy the opportunity to see when someone has finally grasped a concept and begins to really enjoy the freedom that learning to swim gives them. I love teaching and finding new ways to present information to people. During lessons, I encourage proper stroke technique and endurance. I feel that once students have mastered the ability to float anything is possible, so I place a specific importance on glides and push offs.
I am presently a student at Rutgers University where I major in Theater Arts and hope to graduate this spring. I love working with children and feel that there is no greater joy than seeing a child become comfortable and confident in their ability to swim. I look forward to meeting you and discussing how to make your journey on the road to being a swimmer a pleasant and enjoyable one.
