Swimming and other water based activities have been part of my life ever since I can remember. I learned to swim at a local YMCA and joined my first competitive swim team there. I then continued to swim competitively through middle school, high school, and at the University of Delaware (NCAA Division I). After my final season at UD I have focused the majority of my efforts on improving my skills on swimming instruction and scuba diving.

I have been WSI certified for several years but I have been teaching all levels of swimming for nearly a decade. Teaching has always been extremely enjoyable for me and I am always willing to jump at the chance to help people of all ages learn one of the world’s most respected sports. Therefore, I plan to continue my own education so that I might diversify my skills and pass on my knowledge to others. I am very excited to be teaching for Making Waves and having the chance to work with students on a one to one basis.
