Dan S - Male
Swimming and teaching have been a part of my life for a long time. I began Lifeguarding at the age of 15 with certifications through both the American Red Cross and Boy Scouts of America, shortly before I earned the Eagle Scout award. After getting certified, I worked as a Lifeguard and a summer camp counselor for the next six years during the summer. Through my training and personal experience, as well as my work experience, I have learned a great deal about different ways to approach swim instruction. Everyone learns best in their own way, and being able to figure out what works for them makes me excel at what I do.
I like to make teaching dynamic; adjusting my approach depending on how the student is progressing, but just as important, I like to make it fun because learning is greatly improved when the student truly wants to be there and looks forward to their lesson. I work especially well with younger children in helping them work through their fears and experience swimming for the first time, as well as those looking to improve their current ability. I hope I am fortunate enough to meet you and begin making swim time one of the best times of your day.
